I finally got the chance to catch up on the forums and stuff... i'm still grounded from everything though... so i won't be able to play for awhile.... I did manage to work on a new member group that we should be announcing sometime shortly...
Hmm... i think i'm gonna try and put a hard rock song on the page where the new 'thing' is explained.... i think it's gonna be 'this is the new shit' by maralyn manson.... we'll see.... (i need access to my computer to do that i think so the song probably won't be there at first... unless someone can find the song and convert it to .wma for me... that'd be cool... send it my way if you do that)
Some of you won't like what we introduce, simply because some members may feel left out because of it... but just know that we're not trying to divide the clan into groups...

Just got back from vacation today... and found out when i got home that the slim ps2 i ordered didn't deliver because we weren't home.... yeah... that sucked. The website says that the new delivery estimate is Jan 9... which is bullshit... so tomorrow if it doesn't get delivered we're gonna head over to the post office and try to pick it up there...
The main game I have for the ps2 (and the only game as of so far) is ITG (in the groove) ... only the sweetest dance game ever... it's just like ddr except it's got way cooler songs that aren't ALL from japan... As far as css goes, when the server is back up I challenge anyone who wants to to 1v1 me sometime... it doesn't have to be too competitive or anything, i just don't trust the ranking system all the time.

One thing I would like to mention is that unlike what usually happens with prices, if few people donate, prices may actually go up in an attempt to keep the server running... idk, i don't think it will be a problem though. THX!

And also there's my own server that I'll be putting up too. It obviously won't be AS nice as the rented one but we can use all the servers we can get at this point. (I plan on keeping mine up after the rented one goes up and I think I'll use it for non-gungame stuff in order to catch non-gungame players and to create a little variety in case you find it possible to get sick of our gungame server ;) I'm thinking possibly a surf server... and I'm also contemplating a Matrix-Mod server. (I haven't played it before so I want to try it out, it sounds cool. Whatever it is it will be %100 3rd party like usual, since there's already a mountain of standard servers. (We can always play a standard map if we want to on our servers, but we just don't include them in the map rotation)

A few of you may have noticed that neonarena and glass war v2 made it into rotation. x34 was determined to be too random and confusing.

Ok, if you're coming from the homepage you're probably here about those maps. The maps are gg_x34, gg_neonarena, and glass_war_v2. (download them to check them out...)
I discovered a problem with the glass_war_v2 map where the bots will get 'stuck' every once in awhile when they don't see a way to get to each other (like when the glass is broken). This wouldnt be a problem when players join, since the bots are slayed when that happens, but if players die and bots are left... and they get stuck, that means someone has to rejoin in order to slay the bots. This leads be to think that it's only going to be used while admins are present, if at all.
gg_neonarena is a cool looking map, but possibly too dark for some tastes. Bots work fine here.
gg_x34 is an interesting map... its hard to say how well it will play out on our server though... i thought it would be interesting to try though.
Oh, and I'm gonna be working on a walkthrough (with deusex's help) on how to create a server from scratch. (With ANY mods, or none... not necessarily GunGame)
And we'll show you how to use google for a fast download server... (unlimited bandwidth, plenty space for maps, etc. makes it perfect)
We'll also include tips for managing your server remotely.
The walkthrough will be posted gradually on the forum HERE. On completion we will add it to this site as well.

Yeah... the forums are pretty much done i guess... if anyone has any suggestions just post 'em.
Within the next few months we will be working on a new web layout and design that will allow us to have greater control of the web pages than we do currently (using google page creator). With google we tend to find that advanced code doesnt always work properly, and we'd like to use style sheets and crap like that too.
I'm thinking about putting a tutorial on how to use google for fast map downloads on gaming servers. (for free). I'll see what time lets me do...

This damn script won't work in google but works fine as a standalone page...
Online version (Uses code entered in through the page editor)
Standalone version(Just a hosted notepad file)
Both versions are incomplete regardless, but that damn script...
Its supposed to be validating code for the form. You can test what I mean by clicking "submit" on both pages. The standalone version executes the script, but the online one won't.
If you have javascript experience and have a suggestion, email me please.
Oh... Like the cool scrollbars in the standalone version? Well too bad. Google won't let you edit between <head> tags and won't accept style sheet commands.
